Cousin's Night At The Pool Bar

Last week, my brother sent a message to the group chat with all of my local cousins in it asking if we wanted to do something one of these days. I was tied up in Beacon, NY for the night and a couple of other people were busy so that got pushed back a week.

To start the night off, we hit up a Thai place. I got myself an Aquamarine cocktail (Grey Goose, Tanqueray Gin, Bacardi, Patron, Cointreau, Midori, and lime), Despite it looking more chartreuse than anything, it still tasted great. We got calamari and chicken satay for appetizers and I decided to get the "Koong Massaman", a shrimp dish with massaman curry, potatoes, avocado, and peanuts. I told them to make it as spicy as possible so naturally, it came out tasting almost mild.

After dinner, I needed dessert. We were headed to a pool bar and right around the block happened to be a Paris Baguette. It closed in 30 minutes so I just got some chocolate-filled buns. At the bar, we had to wait for some pool table to open up, so the squad naturally just started ordering drink after drink. I got myself a passionfruit mojito.

Luckily, the bar happened to have some board games, so a round of drunk UNO it is!

We got our pool tables and played a few games. I'm 5+ years out of practice and so was everyone else. That didn't stop us from having a great night though.

After a bit, we headed back to the house and played cup pong and talked until around 3 in the morning. Many more drinks were had, and the pastries were finished off. My brother is typically the one DJing, so have some Aries.

Night~
